8:46 AM PT — Chase’s attorneys — Drew Findling, Marissa Goldberg, and Zack Findling, of the Findling Law Firm — tell TMZ … “This incident has been entirely blown out of proportion. Chase Chrisley had done the right thing that evening by calling a driver to take him home. He did not assault anyone. Chase was trying to close out his tab and leave. We will be independently investigating the situation.”

“Growing Up Chrisley” star Chase Chrisley got a dose of reality Thursday … he was thrown in the slammer for allegedly slapping a bar manager in Georgia earlier this week.

Chase, the son of TV stars turned convicted criminals Todd and Julie Chrisley, was booked Thursday into the Fulton County Jail for simple battery, according to official records. He posed for a mug shot and was released on $10,000 bond.

Police say the misdemeanor charge stems from an incident at “Twin Peaks” bar on Monday in which Chase got into it with the saloon’s manager Brendon Nash.

A 911 audio recording, obtained by TMZ, reveals that Nash asked the dispatcher for police assistance while repeatedly telling someone — presumably Chase — not to touch him.

Nash also informs the dispatcher that the drunk and aggressive suspect assaulted him with a chair and wants the guy removed.

Moments later, Nash says the suspect just slapped him — which you can hear on the audio.

Chase left the joint … but he was busted Thursday.

As you know, Chase appeared with his sister, Savannah, on “Growing Up Chrisley” from 2019 to 2022. He was also featured in “Chrisley Knows Best,” which shot Todd and Julie to stardom.

In 2022, Todd and Julie were convicted of federal bank and tax fraud offenses and sentenced to many years behind bars.

Chase Chrisley has been arrested.

The Growing Up Chrisley alum, 28, was taken into custody on a charge of simple battery on Thursday, Jan. 9 in Atlanta, Georgia. Per police records reviewed by PEOPLE, Chrisley was booked and released on a $10,000 bond for an incident that occurred days prior on Jan. 6.

In a police report obtained by PEOPLE, officers from the Atlanta Police Department responded to a call from a local Twin Peaks Sports Bar on Jan. 6, in which the general manager “identified” Chrisley as the person who assaulted him. The report notes that Chrisley “was no longer on [the] scene” upon the officers’ arrival.

Chrisley allegedly “became really drunk” at the bar and “started to act very disrespectful and belligerent,” per the report. When the manager asked him to leave “multiple times,” Chrisley allegedly refused and later “slapped him in the face twice.” TMZ was the first to report the news.
