Tyler Hynes Makes a Buffalo Driver’s Day in the Most Adorable Way

Tyler Hynes Makes a Buffalo Driver’s Day in the Most Adorable Way

Tyler Hynes can’t go anywhere without stumbling into a moment that feels straight out of a Hallmark blooper reel; in the best way possible.

While traveling in Buffalo for the Buffalo Bills game and to help celebrate the upcoming Hallmark movie, “Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story,” Tyler shared a new Instagram video that instantly had fans screaming, laughing, and collectively melting. And yep, you read that right: even his car ride became a whole event.

The video, captioned “Tip your drivers 🤍,” shows Tyler getting in the backseat of a car with a driver (whose name is unknown) that recognizes him immediately and absolutely cannot keep it together. Honestly? Same.

A Driver Who Was Not Prepared for This

It seems like the second the driver realized exactly who he was picking up, every ounce of chill he had evaporated.

“I’m like, holy s***, it’s the Hallmark guy,” he blurts out, practically shaking with excitement. “But you’re on my TV every day. And I was like, oh, my God. I didn’t say anything. We have to have a pic together. I got to show my wife. She’s not going to believe me.”

This man experienced the full emotional roller coaster in under a minute. Shock. Awe. Sudden photo op planning. Immediate spousal involvement. Elite performance.

And then the driver launched into the part that clearly hit closest to home.
“You make my mother-in-law cry. Watch that movie where you’re a photographer? My mother-in-law loves that movie. She can watch it like… every other day. Oh my God.”

Let’s be real; if someone tells you their mother-in-law cries over your movies multiple times a week, you’ve officially made it. It seems like this man was storing this monologue deep in his soul just waiting for the one day Tyler Hynes magically ended up in his backseat.

P.S. We suspect the driver is referring to Hynes 2023 film, “A Picture of Her,” which he starred in alongside Rhiannon Fish.

Tyler Hynes’ Kindness Meets Peak Comedy

Tyler, of course, meets the moment with that calm, grounded warmth fans know him for.

“Oh, I love that man. We’ll send her a video,” he replies; like he didn’t just casually offer to emotionally detonate the poor woman’s heart.

And then the driver fires back with the funniest line of the entire encounter: “She’ll die. She’s 70 years old. I don’t need her to die.”

Sir. The timing? The delivery? The pure chaotic sweetness of this entire exchange? Peak comedy.

It’s the kind of moment that feels like it could’ve been slipped into a Hallmark movie

The ‘Hynies’ Are Losing It in the Comments

Tyler’s fans (lovingly called the “Hynies”) were absolutely living for the video, and the comments section turned into a full-on moment. One person wrote, “How amazing ❤️” while another added, “👏👏👏💚✨🥂 this is the best! 😂” The joy was contagious, and it seems like everyone was collectively swooning over both Tyler and the driver.

and no one would’ve questioned it.

Another fan chimed in with, “Such a beautiful and lovely conversation you had there! Kindness every day.” The wholesome vibes were off the charts, and people clearly felt the warmth of the moment.

Of course, someone had to highlight the line heard ’round the world: “Don’t kill the mother-in-law 😂” which might genuinely be the most unexpectedly iconic part of the entire exchange.

And then there were the comments that summed up Tyler’s life in one sentence: “Everywhere you go Tyler! There’s no escaping it! You are loved ❤️.”

It seems like no matter where he goes (movie sets, stadiums, airports, grocery stores, or, in this case, random Buffalo car rides) Tyler Hynes keeps leaving behind these little pockets of joy. And honestly? We can’t help but love it too.
