Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley know best when it comes to raising a teen.
The couple have had their hands full since their youngest kid Chloe Chrisley entered her teenage era in November.

“She’s 13 now, and she has such a huge personality,” Todd said on the Jan. 14 episode of the Chrisley Confessions 2.0 podcast alongside his wife Julie. “I mean her personality is coming out more every day.”
Echoing her husband’s sentiments about their youngest, Julie added, “That teenage personality.”

Chloe—the biological daughter of Todd’s son Kyle Chrisley and his ex Angela Johnson—has been “lippy” according to her parents who are also navigating the glam changes that have come with her teenage years.
“She’s gotten lippy because she’s 13 now,” Todd quipped. “She’s into the whole straightening the hair and blowing it out, going to her hair guy and this that and the other.”
According to the Chrisley Knows Best stars—who adopted Chloe in 2016—makeup is a big issue.
“I said, ‘Let me tell you something. You come out of there with a cat eye at 13. I’ll dot the other eye,’” Todd recalled of a recent conversation with Chloe. “I said, ‘You’re not painting on, whatever the stuff is, eyeliner.’”
Julie—who shares kids Savannah, 28, Chase, 29, and Grayson, 19, with Todd—isn’t navigating the makeup journey alone as she shared Savannah stepped in to help assist with the shopping.

“We got all new makeup for Christmas because her color was off,” Julie noted of her and Chloe’s recent shopping trip. “$750 later. But her makeup looked so good, and Savannah showed her how to do it. How to put it on and her skin is beautiful. She doesn’t need it. But you know, she’s 13 so we’re starting to delve into that world, and it is what it is.”
Assuring her husband that Chloe’s journey with hair and makeup isn’t as scary as he thinks, Julie added, “It is what it is. We have to pick our battles. She has to be able to experiment with it. It’s going to be fine we’re not going to worry about it.”
Though the duo are navigating Chloe’s growing pains, Todd is impressed with the person she’s becoming—especially as she navigated her tween years while they were serving since-commuted prison sentences for fraud. (Savannah had custody of Chloe and then-16-year-old Grayson when their parents began their prison stays in 2023.)
“She is such a funny kid,” Todd said. “She’s got a good personality. She and I have a good banter back and forth. I love her and I’ve got a great relationship with her.”
Chloe’s parents aren’t the only ones filled with love. In honor of her milestone birthday, Savannah shared a rare picture of the teen with a sweet message dedicated to their bond.
“Chloe, I’m so proud of the girl you are and the woman you’re becoming,” the Unlocked host wrote on Instagram Nov. 10. “You make me laugh, cry, and want to be better every single day. I love you more than you love me (and yes, that’s saying something ). Keep shining, sweet girl…your story is just beginning, and I know it’s going to be beautiful. ONLY 3 MORE YEARS TILL YOUR BRONCO.”
