Solène Favreau Shares How Dylan Pierre De Villiers Relationship “Changed” Her: “At the End…”
As a love triangle turned into a love square and then became just straight-up complicated on Below Deck Season 12, Episode 8, Solène Favreau reflected on her past romance with Season 11 yachtie Dylan Pierre De Villiers.
During the July 21 episode, chief stew Fraser Olender helped to break down all the steamy hookups so far this season, many of which involve Solène.
“First, I kissed Damo [Yorg] in the hot tub. Good times,” he explained. “Then Solène kissed Kyle [Stillie]. They were a thing for a minute, then Jess [Theron] kissed Solène. But, Solène and Kyle have been secretly kissing. Classic love triangle. And then Damo kisses Solène. And now Jess just kissed Bárbara [Kulaif]. Things are getting really messy.”
The increasingly complicated dynamics caused Solène to reconsider what she learned from her past with Dylan.
“After my relationship with Dylan, it changed me again,” she admitted, explaining how the relationship made her think twice about her current situations with Kyle, Jess, and Damo.
“I [broke] something in [Dylan]. And at the end, I learned I have to be more careful to [not] hurt men,” she confessed. “But also, I learned I have to be happy with me first. I wish I could be in [a] relation[ship] with myself or someone like me.”

Solène made it clear she still had her ex on her mind during the charter season when she showed off the bracelet she still wears from him in Season 12, Episode 3.
“We were very in love,” she shared at the time. “And I didn’t hide what I felt.”
She’s also revealed a bit about why she and Dylan broke up. “He was in another country, so distance,” she explained.

While Solene now sees romances differently after dating Dylan, she explained during the July 21 episode that she was aware that she was confusing both Jess and Kyle with her actions.
“I am very clear with [Kyle], more than I am clear with Jess,” Solène said. “Jess is friends, and sometimes, maybe, a little bit more than friends…with Jess, it’s not confused, but it’s mixed.”

Jess was hurt to find out from Kyle that he and Solène were still hooking up at the same time she was furthering her relationship with the stew.
“For me, it’s not the fact that they’ve kissed that shocks me, it’s the fact that like, [Solène] didn’t tell me,” Jess confessed in the July 21 episode.
Jess confronted her about kissing multiple crew members, and Solène confessed to doing so.
“With Soso, I know I’m playing with fire,” Jess admitted. “I know she’s flirting with me. And now she’s flirting with Stillie. Like, red flag.”
