Solène Favreau Reveals She Dated a Below Deck Season 11 Crew Member: “We Were Very in Love”

The Most Interesting Below Deck Romances Happen Off Screen — Solène Favreau Proves Just That

Solène Favreau, the newest cast member of Below Deck, is proving that some of the most captivating relationships unfold off-screen. In the Monday, June 16 episode of the hit Bravo series, Kyle Stillie asked Solène about a bracelet she was wearing, which was a gift from her ex-boyfriend. Solène admitted that she’s still wearing the bracelet “more than two years” after their breakup.

“This bracelet is from my ex-boyfriend, Dylan,” she shared with the cameras, as footage of Dylan Pierre De Villiers from Season 11 played on screen. “We were very in love and I didn’t hide what I felt.”

Solène explained that the breakup was due to the distance caused by their careers, noting: “We broke up because he was in another country, so [there was] distance. Even after, I still love him and I was very sad.”

After the split, Solène decided to take a break from dating, saying: “So now that is why I try to keep everything at no risk. Since Dylan, I’ve never been in love again. I am young, free and I’m not looking for a relationship.” She jokingly added to Kyle that she was “not sleeping” with him.

Below Deck Romances Outside the Franchise

It’s no surprise that Below Deck alums have hooked up off-screen. From Madison Stalker and Rob Westergaard to Jamie Jason and Chandler Brooks, yachties often cross paths when cameras aren’t rolling. This season, however, the romantic drama continues to unfold on-screen. In the trailer released in April, Kyle was seen possibly hooking up with a guest at the beach, in full view of his coworkers. Captain Kerry Titheradge later confronted Kyle, but he refused to confirm the situation.

Kyle asked producers whether his comment about “f*ing”** a guest whose husband was on charter was “a joke,” and someone behind the scenes asked him the same question in return.

Captain Kerry’s Investigation and Fraser’s Thoughts

Captain Kerry later explained: “There was an investigation done. I’m not too sure how much of that will be shown, but I did a thorough investigation before I made my decision. It will be interesting to see what happens after I interviewed each of the crew members — including what was actually said behind [my back].”

Kerry didn’t confirm whether Kyle was fired, but he did share: “I don’t get to see what’s going on Below Deck because I’m in the wheelhouse or I’m over here and I can’t be everywhere. I don’t micromanage. I allow my crew to grow and I like to be here and to help encourage people. There’s a lot I don’t see and there’s even more I don’t want to see.”

Chief Steward Fraser Olender, meanwhile, revealed to Us Weekly in May that “things were turbulent” even before Kyle’s extracurricular activity with the guest. “I’ve done it before, so I can’t speak on [hooking up with a guest], Fraser explained. “What is a hard no is on charter and what is a hard no is potentially engaging in something whilst their married significant other is also around.”

Fraser added that the incident was the “most explosive thing I have been a part of,” and that it triggered a series of other problems that no one saw coming. “So it’s the beginning of the end. It’s so good though.”
