Savannah Chrisley Collapses From Exhaustion After Heavy Political Schedule, Sparks Debate at University of Alabama Event

Reality TV personality and conservative commentator Savannah Chrisley was forced to receive IV treatment in Florida this week after a rapid-fire stretch of travel and political appearances that began immediately after returning from Italy.
Chrisley had spent several days overseas before flying to Washington, D.C., for a series of political meetings. From there, she traveled to Alabama to speak at a Turning Point USA event held Wednesday at the University of Alabama’s Student Center Theater.

Shortly after the event, she posted a photo showing an IV in her arm with the caption: “Travel & Work = 1, Savannah = 0.”
Oklahoma Crowd vs. Alabama Turnout
During her remarks in Tuscaloosa, Chrisley contrasted the audience size with a recent visit to the University of Oklahoma, where she said the TPUSA chapter filled an entire basketball arena. In comparison, the Student Center Theater at UA reached only about half capacity.

Chrisley suggested the difference was not accidental. According to her, “people in power” at the University of Alabama are “suppressing conservative voices,” pointing to the absence of event promotional material around campus.
She noted that at Oklahoma, posters advertising her appearance were widely displayed — even if some students “ripped them down, burned them, and fought over them.” But at Alabama, she claims she did not see any signage.
“I would love to know why,” she said.
Grayson Chrisley Says He Faces Pushback on Campus
Chrisley’s younger brother, freshman Grayson Chrisley, joined her onstage and described what he says is political hostility on campus.

“I’m an unapologetic Republican,” he said. “If a hat upsets you, maybe you need to be a little tougher.”
Tensions With UA Ethics Professor
Savannah also pointed to what she called a “telling moment” involving an ethics and communications professor at UA. She said the professor used her social-media posts as a case study in class — something she viewed as targeted scrutiny.
“It made me realize there are people twice your age who genuinely hate you,” she said.
Shortly after her comments circulated, Chris Roberts, associate professor in the Department of Journalism & Creative Media, confirmed he was the professor in question. Roberts said he was not present at the event.

“She’s never met me. I don’t hate anyone,” he responded. “I wish I had known she planned to mention me — we could have talked.”
Comments on GOP Infighting and Epstein Records
Chrisley also touched on intra-party divisions within the Republican Party, particularly concerning calls to release documents linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“When it comes to loyalty, you have to stand for something,” she said. “There are too many untold stories. It’s difficult when everyone is talking about the Epstein files.”

Health Concerns After Aggressive Travel
Following nearly back-to-back stops across Europe, Washington, Alabama, and Florida, Chrisley’s health appeared to falter. The IV treatment she posted drew concern from supporters, though her team has not issued an official statement about her condition.
Chrisley, 27, continues to balance podcasting, political activism, and ongoing public advocacy on behalf of her family. The incident underscores the toll of her increasing political visibility — and the growing backlash that accompanies it.
