ROYALS ARE EXCITED! Catherine & William Welcome Adorable New Additions to Their Family

As the family adjusts to life with the newest additions, sources suggest they are considering keeping the puppies, though this is unconfirmed by the Palace. Nonetheless, the heartwarming news offers a glimpse into the more personal and affectionate side of the royal household.
When you think of the late Queen Elizabeth II, images of cute corgis may also spring to mind. So, it’s perhaps little surprise that the prince and princess in line to the throne are also dog lovers.
And they are now said to be celebrating the tiny pitterpatter of feet, as their beloved black cocker spaniel, Orla, has reportedly welcomed a litter of puppies.
William and Catherine recently have reportedly welcomed four new puppies into their family after their beloved dog gave birth. It has been claimed their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are said to have fallen head over heels with the new pups, who are just a few weeks old and have filled Adelaide Cottage with a joyous patter of tiny paws.
As reported, mother and babies are doing well, and everyone in the house is very excited over the new addition. It is not known whether William and Catherine plan on keeping their black cocker spaniel pups.
A source told the outlet, “Mother and babies are doing well. We always thought the patter of tiny feet in the Wales’s household had ended, so the sound of tiny paws will have to do.”
The tiny pooch’s names are not known yet, and neither is their father’s identity. Everyone loves new royal baby news, and so new royal puppies run very close.
The family of five are loving the pups so far and hope to keep them. The insider added, “Everyone loves new royal baby news, and so new royal puppies run very close, but will there be room in their quaint four-bedroom cottage for the new arrivals?”

There’s definitely plenty of space for walkies in the 655-acre grounds surrounding Adelaide Cottage in the home counties where the Prince and Princess of Wales live. Although there’s no news on whether they plan to keep the four new pups.
It’s only a 10-minute stroll from Windsor Castle where King Charles and Queen Camilla live with their Jack Russell Terrier, Bluebell. They had another Jack Russell, Beth, who sadly died in 2024.
According to the Express, the mother and babies are doing well. “We always thought the patter of tiny feet in the Wales household had ended, so the sound of tiny paws will have to do,” a source said.
“Everyone loves new royal baby news, and so new royal puppies run very close. Everyone is very excited, not least the three children who adore and love them.”
Orla became part of the royal family in 2020 and was a gift from Catherine’s brother, James, following the birth of a litter by his own dog, who is named Luna. Her name was then only revealed in 2022 in a set of official portraits released for Princess Charlotte’s 7th birthday.
It is of Celtic origin and means golden princess—a fitting choice for a royal pet.
Orla’s arrival came shortly before the death of Lupo, another black cocker spaniel and the couple’s first dog, who joined the pair as a belated wedding gift in 2011.

Lupo’s legacy now continues with Orla, who has made several appearances in royal activities and family portraits. Notably, she was spotted with the family at the Royal Charity Polo Cup where Prince William participated.
A smiling Charlotte was pictured with Orla in a blue bellwood in her seventh birthday snaps three years ago. And just a few weeks later, the pup was spotted with Catherine as William played in a charity polo match.
Most recently, on April 11th, the Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated National Pet Day by sharing a previously unseen photograph of Orla. The image showed her standing in a grassy field, looking off into the distance, her coat glistening, possibly after a walk in nature.
As the family adjusts to life with the newest additions, sources suggest they are considering keeping the puppies, though this is unconfirmed by the palace. Nonetheless, the heartwarming news offers a glimpse into the more personal and affectionate side of the royal household.
Catherine’s younger brother shared the exciting news on Instagram at the time, letting supporters know they all have lovely homes waiting for them.
James has also spoken lovingly about the enduring support he’s received from his sister, the Princess of Wales, despite her royal role as the future queen of the United Kingdom.
The 38-year-old entrepreneur highlighted the strength of their sibling relationship, describing it as both personal and deeply supportive during challenging times, adding that she remains his big sister above all.
“I’m incredibly fortunate to have my two sisters, not just as siblings, but as friends. You can’t choose your siblings. It can be complicated. It takes work. But when it’s strong, I believe it’s one of the most powerful bonds there is.”
