Rainbeau de Roos Makes Surprising Declaration to a Producer About the Crew’s $27.5K Tip
Rainbeau de Roos had a lot to say about her recent payday on a Below Deck charter.
After ending a particularly tough charter in Episode 7, Season 12, the Below Deck crew was eager find out how much they’d been tipped. When they discovered what they earned from the tumultuous few days, yachtie Rainbeau de Roos had a lot to say.
After the rowdy guests left, the crew met in the sky lounge to evaluate their performance on the charter and, most importantly, see how much cash was in their tip envelope.
“Quite a charter, lots of challenges involved,” Captain Kerry Titheradge told the crew, quipping, “Incredibly amazing, kind, and friendly guests.”
The captain also applauded his new bosun, Hugo Ortega, chef Anthony Iracane, and chief stew Fraser Olender for all of their hard work during the charter. However, he did say he was sensing some “complacency” among the crew. “Now’s not the time for us to just flatline,” the Australia native declared.
Finally, it was time to reveal the tip. Kerry announced that the crew made $27,500, meaning each crew member made $2,100 each. He called the tip “absolutely incredible,” but Rainbeau had a different way of describing the cash gift.
“It’s a good, average, solid tip. Average sized. Who doesn’t love average sized? Doesn’t need to be ginormous,” she told a producer before bursting into laughter.
