Nathan Gallagher Shows Off Gael Cameron & Their Baby Son’s Impressive First

Baby Kayden may one day follow in the footsteps of Below Deck Mediterranean’s Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron.

First-time parents Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron from Below Deck Mediterranean are ensuring their baby son gets his sea legs.

The Irish bosun shared an Instagram Story of Gael and their 4-month-old, Kayden Cameron-Gallagher, as mom and baby attended lessons at the community pool. As Nathan captioned in the video, complete with a red-heart emoji, “Little man and the best mama having their first swim class together.” In the video, an instructor helped the infant move his little feet along a floating mat before dunking him in the water and placing him in his mother’s arms.

Kayden wore a long-sleeved bathing suit and was joined by other parents with their babies, remaining impressively content after the dip. Nathan tagged Gael in the video, which ended with the Australian mum smiling proudly.

Gael also opened up about her big swim class with her “bub” in her own post on Instagram, writing, “Kayden’s first swimming class.
So proud of our little fish. So comfortable and confident in the water. Can’t wait to get you your first snorkel.”

Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron move into a new home

Kayden’s lessons come as his mom and dad find their bearings as a new live-in couple. Only a short time ago, Gael touched on the challenges of needing a sleep coach, not for the baby, but for her boyfriend of one year.

“I think it’s great, but the sleeping coaches are always for baby,” she joked. “I don’t need one for Kayden; he’s pretty good. I need one for Nathan. This dude will stay up until five in the morning, and then, try[ing] to wake him up at ten in the morning is like hell. ‘Don’t talk to me. Don’t touch me.’ He needs time to wake up.”

Nathan said it had everything to do with “night duties” and taking care of the babe, though Gael laughed, “Night duties, my ass.”

They continue to buy furniture for their new home, something Gael called a “new adventure.”

Deciding where to live was a subject of debate, as Nathan explained in the Oct. 6 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen when the host asked where he and Gael would raise their firstborn.

“F–k if I know, on a flight?” Nathan said. “On a flight around the world, I would say. We’re going to explore the world together with our new best friend, so we don’t know yet.”

Nathan appeared virtually from Gael’s hometown of Sydney, Australia, where he reportedly found work as a boat captain.

Location was a significant factor for the couple, who’d met during Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean, and their relationship fizzled once back on land. For her part, Gael cited a need for Nathan to do some “emotional maturing” while Nathan partly blamed the challenges of living on separate continents.

In the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show, the Irishman said, “I just started second-guessing everything.”

The pair announced a reconciliation in September 2024 — nine months before Kayden’s birth — though audiences will learn more as Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 continues.

As Nathan teased in the aforementioned WWHL episode, “There was a lot of unresolved feelings, I would say, between me and Gael, and she stole my heart. So I just had to speak my mind again and get it back on.”
