Kyle Stillie & Solène Favreau Take Their Relationship to the Next Level: “I’ll Never Learn”

Kyle Stillie and Solène Favreau reveal if they’re ready to leave past Below Deck relationships behind to explore a new romance.

Kyle Stillie and Solène Favreau have had flirtatious moments so far this season on Below Deck, but they took things to the next level on Season 12, Episode 5.

During a rare day and night off for the Motor Yacht St. David crew, the deckhand and stew enjoyed a romantic date together outside of the ship.

Of their connection, Kyle confessed before the date, “Solène could almost certainly break my heart.” With that in mind, he added, “I never learn!”

Over drinks at a cocktail bar, Solène asked Kyle whether he’d ever truly been in love. Neither held back during the conversation.

“Yeah, I’ve been in love a couple of times, yeah,” said Kyle, who had a brief romance with Season 11 stew Barbie Pascual. “Have you?”

“Two times,” admitted Solène, who previously dated Dylan Pierre De Villiers, also from the Season 11 crew.

The two agreed that “it’s the best and the worst,” and “that’s why it’s love.”

Describing herself as “the opposite of selfish” in relationships when she was younger, Solène told Kyle she has since “learned to be selfish” when it comes to looking out for herself.

After all, the budding philosopher explained, “When you die? In your box of dead, you will be alone.”

“So, live for you,” she concluded, before switching the topic to something lighter, asking her date what he liked about her.

“Your energy,” Kyle answered without missing a beat. Plus, “You’re obviously attractive as hell. You just smile every day. You’re just happy.”

At this, it began to pour, but the duo wasn’t fazed. They kept sipping their drinks by the table before taking selfies in the rain by the pool.

“This is a good date!” Solène sighed. “I love this date.”

Once they were back on board, the two changed into pajamas and snuck away to the primary guest cabin, where they spent the night. Ooh la la!

Solène Favreau explains why she doesn’t want to “rush” Kyle Stillie relationship

Chef Anthony Iracane checked in with Solène when she dropped by the galley. “With Kyle, you guys are like a couple? Husband and wife? Boyfriend?” he asked jokingly.

“You crazy?” replied Solène.

Anthony, who got to know the Scotland native during the previous Caribbean charter season, warned the stew that Kyle “probably wants a relation[ship]” with her.”

“It’s too early,” Solène declared, “I don’t really know him. I don’t want to put [on] the pressure.”

“Right?” agreed the chef. “Don’t rush stuff if you’re not ready for it.”

To that, Solène said with a laugh, “Me? Rush? Never.”
