Hannah Ferrier Celebrates Her Daughter Ava’s 5th Birthday: “Highlight of My Life”
The Below Deck Mediterranean alum shared the update as she and her family embarked on a getaway.

Since exiting Below Deck Mediterranean in Season 5, the former chief stew has experienced many exciting life changes; chief among them was starting a family. Fans got a closer look at Hannah’s post-Bravo chapter in an October 26 Instagram celebrating her daughter Ava’s 5th birthday. The carousel was a heartwarming blast from the past, as it included photos and videos of newborn Ava in the hospital, her beach days as a toddler, and more recent snaps of her home life.

“Happy 5th Birthday to my gorgeous, beautiful, independent, sassy favourite person to explore the world with Ava,” Hannah captioned the tribute post. “Watching her grow has by far been the highlight of my life. Feel blessed everyday with the privilege of being her mum. Now as requested yesterday I’m off to try and find confetti that explodes as she blow out her birthday candles.”
Hannah shares little Ava with Josh Roberts, a Scottish native who works in commercial real estate. The parents got engaged just four weeks after they welcomed their daughter, and tied the knot in March 2022.

But the family getaway didn’t end there. On Sunday, November 2, Hannah returned to the ’Gram to share a peek at her, Ava, and Josh’s trip to San Francisco. The family snapped photos from Chinatown, the city’s famous cable cars, and their classic American breakfast; the latter of which was a big moment for Hannah’s hubby.
“Fulfilled Joshs dream of eating at an American diner,” she captioned a Story. “Ordered 1 meal between the 3 of us and we were stuffed.”

The family currently resides in Hannah’s home country of Australia, where she operates the Ocean International Training Academy, an online yachting education program she co-owns with fellow Below Deck Med alum Anastasia Surmava.
Hannah spoke about her Season 5 exit in an April 2020 interview with The Daily Dish, in which she reflected on her dismissal from The Wellington crew.
“Honestly, it’s so sad to me because it’s five years of my life that I dedicated to this show,” she said. “It changed and grew so much since Season 1 in Greece. I think just above anything I’m just really sad that it’s ended that way. Obviously, it’s just not a very nice way to end. But at the same time, I’ve had an outpouring of support from fans and things like that.”
