Captain Jason Chambers talks about Below Deck Down Under Season 3’s location in the Seychelles Islands
In a January interview with The Daily Dish, Captain Jason opened up about what it was like to film the season in the location.
“And that’s a big portion of our industry is actually pleasing the guests,” he said. “The guests come on, we want to feed them well, we want them to have the best time as a group, and we want to give them the best service. And, you know, when the weather plays up, if we can still provide those things, which we could on Katina in a remote location, which is a big tick for me. I love to do anything remote. It’s a lot of diving, a lot of underwater stuff in the Seychelles. And it really did tick a bucket list location for me,” he said. “And the boat was perfect for it.”
Captain Jason opens up about the boat for Season 3 of BDDU
“The boat’s huge, but it’s a lot of interior,” Jason shared with The Daily Dish. “It hasn’t got much deck, you know, so it really helped us in a lot of [ways].”
He added, “The best thing about Katina, it’s got so much area internally that no matter what happened with the weather, when those issues came, we just put it on.”
