Julie Chrisley Speaks Out About Allegations That She Faked Cancer

Now that they are free from prison, Todd and Julie Chrisley are taking some time to reply to the rumors that popped up while they were away.

Julie Chrisley wants to set the record straight.
This means that she is revealing previously unshared information about her diagnosis with breast cancer.

Julie finally spoke out about the gossip in a recent episode of Chrisley Confessions 2.0.
The 52-year-old called the allegations “so disrespectful” on the podcast she hosts with Todd Chrisley.
She began by saying, “The one thing that I wanna talk about that was in the tabloids is they said that I faked my breast cancer, and that is the craziest thing.”

“What people don’t realize is [that] I was diagnosed with breast cancer [in] March of 2012,” she continued.”
Appearing to reference their legal charges and conviction, Julie clarified that her diagnosis was “before this happened.”
The reality TV alum explained, “I had already been diagnosed with breast cancer.”

“I was completing my treatment at that time,” she noted. “But the thing is that someone would think that I would ever fake a breast cancer diagnosis.”
The mother of three added, “I have had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing, wonderful women who have fought the breast cancer fight.”
“Obviously, if that’s something I was gonna do, it didn’t help. Because I went to prison,” Julie pointed out.

She emphasized, “But I went to prison 11 years later…
“It didn’t even make sense,” Julie said of the rumor.
In a previous episode of her podcast, Unlocked, Savannah got fiery when discussing rumors that her mother had faked her breast cancer diagnosis, calling herself “literally dumbfounded” to see the reports.

“But for people that want to know when mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, I know Dad picked me up from school. Mom had a doctor’s appointment that day,” Savannah recalled.
“I’ll never forget finding out that mom had breast cancer.”
