Prince William and Kate Middleton just attended the Duchess of Kent’s funeral alongside King Charles, and apparently William was “furious” at being seated by disgraced royal Prince Andrew—not to mention being captured next to him in multiple photos.

A friend of William’s called the evening a “disgrace” to the Daily Beast, revealing he was “furious” at being “ambushed” by his uncle sitting behind him. His body language says it all, as William was photographed looking pretty upset in multiple angles.

Royal expert Hilary Fordwich recently told Fox News that Prince William will deal with “the Andrew problem” once he becomes King, saying “Prince William has long had a strained and distant relationship with Andrew. [William holds a] a grudge against his disgraced uncle. Andrew’s future within the royal family is beyond bleak, since Prince William is firmly opposed to any public rehabilitation with no foreseeable path back. He wants Andrew to vanish from public view.”

She added that “William’s strong stance on ‘the Andrew problem’ is consistent, unwavering and his influence has been decisive in ensuring Andrew remains sidelined. He is driven by his desire… to protect the monarchy’s reputation, doing all he can to safeguard its future. [William is] very in touch with the public. Every public opinion poll has Andrew at the bottom, reinforcing Prince William’s stance. Once king, no doubt, Prince William will ensure Andrew is completely excluded from royal life, as well as all public appearances.”

Recent discussions suggest Prince William prepares to take a more decisive approach to the royal family’s reputation. After “a rather difficult time” for the Prince and Princess of Wales, the heir to the throne reportedly tires of the negative headlines that follow certain members of the monarchy. While King Charles seeks middle ground, William’s plans seem “far more brutal.”

Andrew Is A Royal Headache?

According to royal commentator Neil Sean, who discussed the matter on his Daily News Headlines vlog Sunday night, Prince William currently goes “through a rather difficult time.” The source of William’s frustration stems from the ongoing controversies surrounding Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

Neil highlighted their “ill-advised friendship with Jeffrey Epstein,” which casts a long shadow over the institution. He pointed to a specific event that allegedly firmed William’s resolve. At a recent funeral for the late Duchess of Kent, “the disgraced Duke of York, Prince Andrew,” attended.

A picture showed Prince William and Andrew together, which allegedly left William “very, very…fuming.” Neil claimed that lip readers observed Andrew attempting to engage William in conversation, but William pointedly avoided him.

According to a behind-the-scenes source, William “didn’t want anything to do with it” because he knew “any conversation would be lip read” and used against the family. The incident caused William to “draw a line under that particular situation.”

The problem for William is that these “negative headlines” won’t go away. Neil reported that King Charles, in the past, considered bringing “Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice” back into “the royal fold” to help with duties. Many royal watchers opine that it’s not a good idea, given Eugenie’s past relationship with Meghan Markle.
