Kristin Booth Bravely Shares Her Own Cancer Diagnosis 3 Months After Her Hallmark Channel Bestie
Three months after Hallmark star Yan Kay Crystal Lowe publicly shared her stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis, her Hallmark bestie has revealed she’s also been diagnosed with a form of cancer.
Lowe’s longtime “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” co-star Kristin Booth announced on January 7, 2026, that she was diagnosed with a type of skin cancer called basal cell carcinoma just before Christmas. Booth won’t have to face the extensive treatment that Lowe is going through, but said the actress inspired her to share her health news and take her fans along for the journey.

Kristin Booth Says She’s ‘Lucky’ Her Skin Cancer Didn’t Spread
Booth, who has been posting “Wellness Wednesday” videos on social media since October 1 to remind herself and others to “take care of ourselves first,” shared her diagnosis as part of her latest post.
“Today, I’d like to discuss cancer, a specific type of cancer, and that is skin cancer,” she began her video. “Before Christmas, I was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma.”
Pointing to a spot on her forehead, she said, “I’d had this red mark, which is now bigger than it was initially, for several years. And despite having it looked at by two separate dermatologists, it has now been diagnosed as basal cell carcinoma, and I will have to have it removed.”
Booth said she’s “lucky” because the cancer has “only affected the first layer of skin, which is surprising since I’ve had it so long.” The actress said that when the spot started “cracking and bleeding,” she decided to get a third opinion.
Kristin Booth Visited Crystal Lowe Over Thanksgiving Weekend
Before Booth was diagnosed, she traveled to spend Thanksgiving weekend with Lowe and accompany her to one of her chemotherapy infusions. In her January 7 post, she said she was “inspired by my friend Crystal, who is battling breast cancer, because I want to spread as much awareness about this as possible.”
Lowe commented on Booth’s post, “I love you!!! To the moon and back.” That was a bit of an easter egg for devoted fans of the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise, called Postables, since their last movie together was “To The Moon and Back” in 2025.
In the video, Booth encouraged her followers to get any irregular spots or moles on their skin checked, “and if you’re not comfortable with the diagnosis, if you feel that something really is wrong, please seek another opinion.”
She also encouraged her fans to use a sunscreen “of at least 30” each day. According to the Mayo Clinic, “most basal cell carcinomas are caused by exposure to light from the sun” and using sunscreen can help lower a person’s chances of developing the skin cancer.
