On March 5th, Buckingham Palace announced that the Princess of Wales will attend the annual Commonwealth Day service of celebration at Westminster Abbey in London next week, on Monday, March 10th. William, Katherine, Charles, and Camilla will also attend the service, along with Princess Anne and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. Buckingham Palace announced this year’s theme is “Together We Thrive,” which celebrates the enduring spirit of the Commonwealth family. Charles, who is head of the Commonwealth, gives an annual address each year to the family of 56 Nations, but last year he sent a pre-recorded video message after postponing his public-facing duties for around three months.

When it comes to net favorability, the number emerging after the negative answers are subtracted from the positive ones, Katherine reigns supreme as she beats her husband by four points. The princess gathered a positive score of 74%, while less than two out of 10 (15%) said they hold a negative view of her, and 11% said they don’t know, bringing her score to +59%. Meanwhile, while William was also liked by 74% of those polled, 19% said they have a negative view of him, which made up a score of +55%, nearly as popular as the Prince and Princess of Wales. Princess Anne did not fall far behind the top couple, with 70% of the public seeing the Princess Royal in a positive light and her net favorability reaching +56%.

King Charles came fourth as he is seen positively by six in 10 Britons (59%), but negatively by a third (34%), while his net favorability score of +25 is noticeably better than any leading politician. It is down from 33% in December and is Charles’s lowest rating with YouGov since he became king. At the bottom of the list are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with the Duke of York. Prince Harry’s net favorability plunged to -31% as 6 in 10 (61%) said they held an unfavorable view of him and just 30% a positive one. Meghan Markle emerged second to last with 68% of negative votes and just 21% of positive ones, which brought her net score to -47%. Prince Andrew remains the least popular royal, with nine in 10 Britons (89%) now seeing the Duke of York negatively, and his net score dropping to -85%.
