In the new video posted by the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account, the royals, along with other celebrities and British personalities, congratulated the successful Olympians on their brilliant performances in the recently concluded 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. According to the official Olympic medal tally, Great Britain placed 7th overall with 14 Olympic gold medals, 22 silver medals, and 26 bronze medals, totaling 65 medals.

“Well done @teamgb, what an incredible journey! Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart and passion. You made us all so proud! Here’s to celebrating every triumph at @paris2024 and looking forward to more from @paralympicsgb_official later in the summer 🇬🇧🥇” the Prince and Princess of Wales wrote in the caption of the video.

In the video, Kate congratulated Team Great Britain, speaking on behalf of all the British people who were watching at home supporting the athletes. William, who sported a fuller bearded look, stood happily by her side as he said his part.

“Well done on all you’ve achieved. You’ve been an inspiration to us all,” William added.

Aside from the Prince of Princess of Wales, rapper Snoop Dogg and football superstar David Beckham and other personalities appeared in the video.

Meanwhile, in the comments, royal family fans couldn’t help but chuckle after seeing William’s bold hairy look.

“Great to Catherine again, and William unshaved haha, it’s been years since we’ve seen that, what a sight!” a fan raved.

“Wow! William looks hot ! Nice tan and lovely stubble! I’m middle aged woman! I’m flushing! 😂😂” another wrote.

“Oh? Catherine was clearly wearing her wedding ring in the, but not her engagement ring. Instead, she was wearing one that looks new or that we hadn’t seen before. On Tumblr, there was initial speculation that it might be the ring William gave Catherine with their birthstones,” a fan said on X, formerly Twitter.

According to an Express UK report, Kate’s “birthstone” ring holds a deeper and more symbolic meaning for the couple. Steven Stone Jewellers said that the ring “actually reveals a lot about their relationship and their personalities.” The ring features two garnets, which are Kate’s birthstones, and pearls to signify William’s birthstones.

The publication shared that garnets symbolize “perseverance and strength and are traditionally known as “commitment stones,” reinforcing the meaning behind the ring. On the other hand, pearls have long been associated with the idea of humility, innocence, and purity—which also amplifies the couple’s youth.

“This ring is no doubt very sentimental and while Kate has a very high value jewellery collection, this piece is priceless,” the jewellers explained.

On X, people are thrilled to see Kate wearing it after everything that has happened to their lives in the past few months.

“It’s so pretty! Much better (I’ve never thought the Diana ring was pretty – sorry!)” a user said.

“I love that she’s showing real Princesses don’t need 9 pounds of gaudy jewlery, a pound of make up and a 5 figure outfit,” another commented.

While some debated whether it’s a different ring, everyone’s fascination with it remains.

“It looks like an Eternity ring, how lovely if it is, usually given to acknowledge a milestone of some sort, maybe it was to celebrate end of treatments,” one described.
