Prince William’s SURPRISE REVELATION About Royal Family’s Traditional Christmas Lunch At Sandringham

Kate Middleton is announcing the broadcast of her Together at Christmas carol service.
On Dec. 11, ITV shared a new video of the Princess of Wales speaking about the upcoming televised special. The clip shared on X opens with a shot of a glittering Christmas tree and string lights outside Westminster Abbey, where the fourth annual carol service was held on Dec. 6. It cuts to a shot of Princess Kate helping her youngest son Prince Louis, 6, fix a tag to the “Kindness Tree” outside the ancient abbey while his big sister, Princess Charlotte, 9, watches on.
“Join me this Christmas Eve for a special carol service to celebrate all those who have shown love, empathy and kindness in their communities this year,” Princess Kate, 42, says in the video.
The snippet rolls to show the Princess of Wales entering the festive event with her husband, Prince William, and their kids, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, followed by footage from the exciting night of the choir, performers Paloma Faith and Olivia Dean, ballet dancers and children smiling.
It closes with a photo of the Wales family standing together, holding programs and candles, from front-row seats during the service, where Princess Kate shares a sweet look with Prince Louis.
“Together at Christmas – a chance to celebrate all those who have shown love, empathy and kindness in their communities this year,” the ITV team wrote in a post with the video. “Watch Royal Carols: Together At Christmas on Christmas Eve at 7:30pm on @ITV and @ITVX.”
As in years past, Princess Kate’s Dec. 6 carol event was filmed for broadcast to be aired on ITV in the U.K. on Christmas Eve.
Last week, Kate’s fourth annual Together at Christmas service welcomed 1,600 guests (including members from both sides of her family) to Westminster Abbey. The service was held with a poignant theme of love and empathy amid the year that Princess Kate announced she was undergoing treatment for cancer. The Princess of Wales shared in September that she completed chemotherapy, and the concert was her most major appearance since.

“I know how hard it would be to do something like this, putting yourself out there when you may not be feeling 100 percent,” Jenny Powell, a community worker from Abergavenny, Wales, who was among the guests, tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue.
But Princess Kate’s nearly yearlong experience has reframed her focus to her life and role. In a remarkably candid comment to pop star Faith behind the scenes, the Princess of Wales admitted, “I didn’t know this year was going to be the year that I’ve just had.”
Friends and sources emphasize that the princess’ experience has changed her perspective forever.

“Life-threatening illnesses bring a reconsideration of priorities. She and William have always made it clear that family is the most important thing,” a source close to the royal household says.
