Kate Chastain Responds to Speculation That Son Resembles Below Deck Co-Star Ben Robinson

Kate Chastain, beloved Below Deck alum, has finally addressed the playful rumors circulating online that her son, whom she welcomed in 2021, bears a striking resemblance to her former co-star, Ben Robinson. The speculation, sparked by fans on social media, has drawn comparisons between her son and the British chef, with many joking about the possibility of a familial connection.

In a recent interview, Kate laughed off the rumors, admitting she found the whole situation amusing. “I don’t see it myself, but I guess I can understand why people might think that,” she said, adding that while she and Ben shared a close bond on the show, there is no truth to the claims. She further joked, “If Ben is my son’s father, then he’s hiding it very well.”

The speculation began after Kate posted a photo of her son, Luke, on Instagram, with fans quickly flooding the comment section with comments like, “He looks just like Ben!” and “Is Ben Robinson the dad?!” Both Kate and Ben have always had a fun, flirty dynamic on Below Deck, and their on-screen chemistry has sparked plenty of fan theories over the years.

While Kate remains tight-lipped about her son’s father, she made it clear in the interview that she’s enjoying her life as a mother and has no time for drama. “Motherhood has been incredible, and I’m so grateful for the joy he brings into my life every day. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

Kate also mentioned that despite the rumors, she and Ben still stay in touch. “We have a great friendship, and he’s been supportive. But, no, he’s not Luke’s father—he’s just a good friend and co-worker who helped me keep my sanity on Below Deck!”

Fans can expect Kate to continue sharing glimpses of her life as a new mom while keeping her son’s privacy intact. As for Ben, he seems to be taking the speculation in stride, with no plans to address it himself

Kate Chastain was quick to squash any speculation that Ben Robinson is the father of her newborn son.

The Below Deck star welcomed her first child recently, with Sullivan Cay making his Instagram debut last week.

The chief stewardess previously kept quiet over the identity of the father, simply explaining that she would be raising the little one solo and was ‘happy to do it alone’.

Taking to Twitter, the 40-year-old has now responded to claims that her baby boy resembled the Below Deck chef, after they became close friends on the Bravo show.

Sharing a new snap of her son, she told followers: ‘For the record, the only thing this handsome guy has in common with any chef is the tendency to get emotional around meal times.’

Fans were living for Kate’s response and flocked to cheer her on in the replies below.

An impressed follower wrote: ‘Hahahahahahaha Ily. He’s such a cutie!!! Congratulations!!!!!’

As a Twitter user added: ‘Sorry trolls made you feel you had to clarify.

‘Too bad they can’t just let this beautiful boy be. Enjoy being a mama & ignore em [sic].’

Kate came to fame on series two of Below Deck, and became a firm fan favorite – thanks to those epic rocket towel designs.

She announced her pregnancy last year and offered a ‘hard launch’ of baby Sullivan on the ‘gram last week, but refused to be drawn over who the father of her first child is.

Appearing on a previous episode of Watch What Happens Live, she told host Andy Cohen that she would be going ahead with motherhood solo.
