Along with one of her pictures—a pencil sketch of her eldest son—the accompanying message read:

The youngsters sat down with their mother to draw portraits of one another. Prince Louis chose to draw his in red and orange felt-tip pen, while Princess Charlotte’s bright creation was sketched in pencil with shades of green, purple, yellow, and blue. The post specified that the pictures were by Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and the Princess of Wales.

The children could even take some inspiration from their grandfather, as King Charles is an enthusiastic landscape watercolorist whose works sell for around £20,000. One of the drawings by Prince George depicted Catherine seated cross-legged in an armchair and appeared to be drawn with a fine liner. The fourth, drawn by Catherine herself, was a detailed sketch of Prince Louis with his eyes closed.
