Daisy Kelliher Sheds New Light on Her “Sad” Split from Keith Allen

Below Deck Sailing Yacht‘s Daisy Kelliher revealed what went wrong in her relationship with deckhand Keith Allen.

Daisy Kelliher and Keith Allen may have left things in a promising place on the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 finale, but it turns out that the yachties’ boatmance-turned-romance was not meant to last.

Daisy confirmed in a post-season interview with The Daily Dish that she and Keith no longer together, and then further discussed what happened between them on the Jan. 27 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

First, she noted that while she and Keith did continue to date after the Ibiza season wrapped up, “We never made it official.”

“Is it official [now]?” host Andy Cohen asked, which you can check out by watching the video at the top of this post.

“No,” Daisy responded.

“But you are still seeing each other?” Andy followed up, looking for clarification.

“No,” the chief stew replied, before sharing what led to the breakup. “We dated for a year, but it was long distance. It was long distance and it wasn’t, like, ever very serious. But, we were in each other’s lives for a year and, unfortunately, it ended because of distance.”

While Andy pointed out that the relationship was a success since it lasted for a year, Daisy felt differently.

“Yeah, I feel like he wasted my time,” the Ireland native said, much to Andy’s surprise. “Well, you’re like, ‘Oh my god, a year? That’s amazing…’ It wasn’t official official but we were basically — it’s like a situationship.”

Andy asked her again if she felt like Keith “wasted” her time, and Daisy backtracked.

“No, I don’t,” she clarified. “We had an amazing time, but it’s always sad when something ends.”

Did Daisy Kelliher and Keith Allen ever consider moving closer to each other?

Fellow guest and yachtie Aesha Scott asked this question on WWHL. “No, it was never at that kind of capacity,” Daisy replied, adding that the exes are in different places in their respective careers as well. “Like, he’s gone on to boats, I live in London. I finished my career in the Caribbean, that’s where he is. So, unless he was moving over to Europe, it was never going to work.”

Keith and Daisy are no longer seeing one another, but they are on good terms. Daisy revealed that she’s “still in touch quite frequently” with the deckhand in her interview with The Daily Dish.

Keith echoed that when he appeared on WWHL and confirmed that he had recently texted Daisy. He also shared that he would work with Daisy again in the future.
