Below Deck Down Under Season 3’s New Location Has Fans Confused (The Show Is Moving Away From Its Australian Roots)
Below Deck Down Under season 3 is coming soon, but the series has a brand-new location that’s been confusing fans who are excited for the typically Australian show. Although Below Deck viewers are likely still watching Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, there’s only a few weeks left until the premiere of Below Deck Down Under season 3. While many have been worried about the future of the Aussie iteration from the famous franchise, Below Deck Down Under appears like it’s going to embrace a season of change. After losing Chief Stew Aesha Scott, other things began to change quickly.
In the fallout of Below Deck Down Under season 2’s sexual harassment scandal, wherein deckhand Luke Jones assaulted stew Margot Sisson until Aesha broke things up, it wasn’t clear that the series would return for a third season. After it was announced that Aesha would be returning to Below Deck Mediterranean as Chief Stew, many felt Below Deck Down Under was done, but Captain Jason Chambers squelched rumors that the show was over. With Below Deck Down Under returning for another season with new crew members, the series will also be chartering through a new location, confusing some returning viewers.

The Charter Season Will Still Sail The Indian Ocean
While Seychelles is a new locale for Below Deck Down Under to tackle, the charter season will still see the crew sailing through the Indian Ocean, albeit on the other side. Sailing off the coast of Africa should be exciting for viewers, who have gotten used to the scenery of Below Deck Down Under in past seasons. While the series will look a bit different this year, Below Deck Down Under season 3 appears like it will be ready to deliver.

The excursions that guests may take throughout the season could look a bit different, as well, but diversifying the show’s locations could be a great step forward for Below Deck Down Under. Change is necessary to keep the series moving forward.
