After Bravo announced the news on Instagram on April 11, Kate joked that she wanted to be a guest on the forthcoming season.
“Hi [Bravo] [51 Minds] I’d like to book a charter…” she wrote on X. (She also shared a screenshot of the message on her Instagram Story.)
Details on Kate Chastain’s friendship with Chef Ben Robinson
Kate and Ben worked together on Seasons 2 and 4 of Below Deck, and they even struck up a brief flirtation on the latter season. Though the two faced some ups and downs in their working relationship, they formed a strong friendship after their time on the show.
Ben and Kate ended up living in the same apartment building in Florida during the pandemic, though Kate later purchased not one but two different houses when she was preparing to welcome her son, Sullivan Cay Chastain.
Though they’re no longer neighbors, Kate and Ben are still close.
After Ben announced his breakup from Kiara Cabral on Instagram in September 2024, Kate poked fun in the comments.
“Maybe I should screen your next partner for you,” Kate wrote in a comment on Ben’s Instagram post. “Being a stepmom isn’t easy.”
“Lol, you have quite the nous,” the chef responded. “I’ll take you up on that.”

Kate wasn’t the only Bravolebrity who was excited to find out that Ben would be appearing on Below Deck Down Under.
“We have waited too long for this,” Andy Cohen wrote in a comment underneath the Bravo announcement post.

Ben hasn’t popped up on a Below Deck series since he took over as a replacement chef on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 4, but he will be returning for Below Deck Down Under.
The Englishman will be joining Captain Jason Chambers and Below Deck Sailing Yacht‘s Daisy Kelliher on board. The rest of the cast has yet to be confirmed.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6 cast will be charter guests on the forthcoming season. Mary Cosby and Angie Katsanevas are confirmed to be in the cast, while the rest of the group has yet to be announced.
