Kate Chastain Reveals Her Baby Boy’s Adorable New Habit (VIDEO)
The Below Deck alum shared another peek at her life with her toddler son, Sullivan Cay.
Kate Chastain’s Instagram activity might be the ultimate timeline cleanser.
Over the past year and a half, the Below Deck alum has consistently blessed fans with wholesome updates on Sullivan Cay, her firstborn child she welcomed in May 2023. Kate has posted photos and videos of the boy reaching exciting milestones, including everything from his first birthday celebration and first tuxedo to his first time crawling and first day at the beach.

Kate kept the baby content coming on Friday, January 31, when she revealed the precious habit Sullivan Cay recently picked up.
“His new thing is on purpose LOLing,” she wrote in the post, which showed the 1-year-old boy giggling on the couch.

Kate Chastain purchases her “dream home”
Back in January, Kate announced she and Sullivan Cay had left their Fort Lauderdale bungalow and moved into a new house in Florida. She shared a first look at the property in an Instagram video that showed her son exploring the gorgeous kitchen and spacious back patio.
“Proud new owner of my dream home. Never moving again,” she declared in the Stories. “Still need to toddler proof.”
Several days later, Kate gave The Daily Dish exclusive photos of the “historic, beautiful home,” saying it she was initially drawn to the property’s old-school character and charm.
“I think what makes this house special is I’m not a person who likes modern interior design,” she explained. “Like [Below Deck alum] Ben Robinson, for example, loves modern. I feel like it’s cold and too perfect, like something with a little personality, a little imperfections. [It] makes it interesting and beautiful. I’m just really happy.”

She confirmed that the home was close to her friends and relatives, which meant she had “built-in babysitters” just a drive or walk away. Kate also said the home was pretty much turn-key, as the previous owners had completed extensive renovations.
“To have them already done that, it feels like I hired an interior designer before I even knew it,” she said. “I love her style. She did the work and then I get to reap the benefits.”
However, she told The Daily Dish she plans to make a few changes to Sullivan Cay’s bedroom.
“I’m thinking probably like, red and blue stripes, kind of traditional. Charming, I guess,” she said. “Now that Sullivan’s getting older, I’m really excited to do a little height chart on his door frame. ’Cause I know we’re gonna be here for that many years to chart his growth, so that’s just really exciting and moving is exhausting so I’m happy to not be doing that for a long time.”
