King Charles Brutal Plan Puts Catherine In Spotlight From The Palace’s Latest Announcement

“Seeing the royals on Christmas Day is synonymous with a really classic British Christmas, and it simply wouldn’t feel like Christmas Day without it. Just seeing those interactions as they walk, the cousins all together and seeing the cheeky things they might be getting up to, there’s a real sense of them as a unit.”

As midnight struck on December 31, 2024, welcoming the arrival of 2025, Prince William and Princess Katherine embraced the New Year in the tranquil setting of Admer Hall, their beloved retreat in Norfolk. The evening was one of love, introspection, and quiet celebration as they reflected on a year that had profoundly tested the resilience, strength, and unity of their family.

The past year was especially difficult for the royal family, with both Princess Katherine and King Charles receiving early diagnoses of cancer in 2024. In the King’s latest speech for the annual holiday, Charles did not mention Middleton by name during his address but made a clear reference to her as follows: “From a personal point of view, I offer special heartfelt thanks to the selfless doctors and nurses who this year have supported me and other members of my family through the uncertainties and anxieties of illness and have helped provide the strength, care, and comfort we have needed.”

However, the Monarch is getting backlash for failing to acknowledge Prince Harry and his two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in his family-oriented broadcast. He branded the season as a chance for family and friends to come together. Charles later stressed the importance of protecting the Earth for the sake of our children’s children. Although Charles’ words stressed the importance of spending time with loved ones, the Sussexes were noticeably absent during the Royal’s Christmas walk at Sandringham.

By contrast, multiple images were shown from his son Prince William, his wife Princess Katherine, and their three children: Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and Prince Louis. The refusal to acknowledge Harry’s family went almost entirely unremarked in largely fine accounts of the annual televised speech in the British media but was criticized on social media.

The King’s failure to acknowledge Harry was made less obvious by the decision not to film the speech from his desk, thereby avoiding critics analyzing photographs and portraits in the shot for clues about who was in or out of royal favor. The Insider has been told that Charles would like to reconcile with Harry but is being blocked from bringing him back into the family by William, who is impeccably opposed to any such move.

The elder son believes Harry’s betrayal of the family in his books and interviews, in which he accused a member of the family—later revealed to be Catherine—of racism, has put him beyond the pale. William’s consent is needed because Charles, who is sick with cancer, feels he cannot bequeath his heir a settlement with Harry that William cannot live with.

“All of us go through some form of suffering at some stage in our life, be it mental or physical,” the King said in his pre-taped message for his annual Christmas address, “as well as the degree to which we help one another and draw support from each other, but we, people of faith or of none, is a measure of our civilization as nations.”

As the year draws to a close, the royal family is focusing on unity, gratitude, and the joy of being together, which was one of the central themes of HRH’s annual “Together at Christmas” carol service on December 6. The experiences of 2024 have reinforced the King and Queen-in-waiting’s commitment to each other and to the roles they serve within the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

The Princess hoped she would wear something bright and celebratory and hoped she’d wear something jolly—maybe something with a vintage vibe, specifically mentioning a tartan coat or a really bright collar. Seeing the Royals on Christmas Day is synonymous with a really classic British Christmas, and it simply wouldn’t feel like Christmas Day without it.

Just seeing those interactions as they walk the cousins all together and seeing the cheeky things they might be getting up to, there’s a real sense of them as a unit. It’s a glimpse into what they are like behind the scenes as a family. It’s a big moment for them in their year.

As 2025 begins, The Prince and Princess of Wales are poised to take on the new year with renewed purpose. Her recovery has brought hope and optimism, and her return to public duties is expected to be measured but impactful.
