The 27-year-old has spoken in interviews about running for public office.
According to People, Savannah teased the possibility in the Chrisley’s interview with Juju Chang.
When speaking about her efforts to free her parents, she noted, “I didn’t realize how broken the system was. I thought bad people go to prison, and that’s what it was, and that is so far from the truth.”
“Now I see all the broken things in the system where individuals have to be rehabilitated, where we need mental health treatment for these individuals, as well as giving them job opportunities and advocating for them when it comes to that,” Savannah added.
Juju acknowledged the former reality star’s speech at the RNC and asked if she had considered a “political career.”
She answered coyly, “There’s been some talk of a congressional run.”
“I don’t know if that will or will not be the thing that I do or if it’s what I’m called to do, but also I believe right now my goal is to speak to younger voters,” insisted the podcaster.
In a new appearance shared on TikTok, Savannah elaborated on her next steps.
“When it comes to running for public office, right now, I don’t know if I really want the House seat,” Savannah admitted.
But that does not mean she’s giving up.
She revealed, “I think maybe there’s a Senate seat that could come in my future in the next three years and I’m gonna go for the big dog.”
It’s unclear what seat she is targeting, but it is presumably an office in Tennessee, where she resides.
Bill Hagerty is the junior senator from the state. He has confirmed that he plans to seek re-election in 2026.
Marsha Blackburn won her second term in 2024.
