Meet the Returning Yachtie Replacing Emma Crouch on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5
Chase Lemacks is back for another season on Parsifal III after Emma Crouch was let go.
Emma Crouch was officially let go on Season 5, Episode 8 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht — and now, the show’s just-released midseason trailer reveals that her replacement happens to be someone we’ve seen before: Season 4 deckhand Chase Lemacks.
Unsurprisingly, it won’t take long for Chase to find himself in some onboard drama — namely, a potential love triangle with Danni Warren and Diana Cruz.
Who is Chase Lemacks?
Chase is a Southern gentleman from South Carolina who knows how to turn on the charm for demanding guests.
“Chase originally joined the world of yachting with the dream of one day sailing around the world running charters on a sailboat of his own,” his bio reads. “Having solely worked on large motor yachts since 2019, it was an exciting challenge and welcome change of pace to come on board a sailing vessel. When he’s not on deck, he loves to get his hands dirty backpacking, hunting and fixing up old homes.”
A refresher on Chase Lemacks from Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4
During Season 4 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Chase had a complicated relationship with his boss, first mate Gary King.
“There were just no instructions. We were expected to know everything, and then we would be called out when we did it wrong,” explained the deckhand on a June 2023 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “I think if he took two hours on the first day he arrived and walked us around the boat [and] showed us how everything worked, we would have been fine.”
Thankfully, they eventually worked things out — and Chase was able to positively reflect on the season as a whole. “This season was a little rough — I wasn’t the most tactful, I said some dumb sh-t — but I’ve learned a little bit about myself,” he said on the Season 4 finale. “And I can see that I’m an acquired taste.”
Who is Chase Lemacks friends with in the Below Deck universe?
Interestingly enough, Chase is good friends with Below Deck Mediterranean‘s Elena “Ellie” Dubaich. In October 2024, the duo got together for a night on the town in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After a fancy dinner, they headed for a nightcap at Waffle House.
