8 Below Deck Mediterranean Cast Members Who Should Return For Season 10
Below Deck Mediterranean season 10 will be airing in 2025, and though the season won’t be on for quite some time, there are several cast members that viewers would love to see return. Throughout Below Deck Mediterranean’s run, the show has been praised as one of the most interesting spin-offs in the franchise. With a crew run by Captain Sandy Yawn since the second season of the series, Below Deck Mediterranean follows a superyacht crew through their charter seasons in the Mediterranean sea, which brings in the rich tapestry of Europe in the background of the show.
8 Below Deck Mediterranean Cast Members Who Should Return For Season 10 (There’s A Potential Jaw-Dropping Cast Shake-Up)
While Captain Sandy has been a part of the series for nearly every season, the crew of Below Deck Mediterranean has rotated throughout its time on the air. With the early seasons revolving around Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier and Bosun Malia White’s issues and later season complicating each charter season with a revolving door of crew members, Below Deck Mediterranean has been known for its drama throughout its run. In the most recent seasons, viewers have gotten to see new crew members coming into the major roles like Chief Stew, Bosun, and Chef from seasons to season.
While there have been changes each season of Below Deck Mediterranean, the casting overhauls keep things fresh with each charter season. With Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 having introduced some fresh faces to the franchise, there has been a fair amount of speculation surrounding who will be returning to the cast for the next season, along with what yachties from previous seasons should be considered. In the last several seasons of Below Deck Mediterranean, the crews have been shaken up from season to season with very few returning cast members outside of Captain Sandy coming back over and over.
Despite there being some cast members that Below Deck Mediterranean viewers wouldn’t want to see back, there are some who viewers have missed from season to season. Though some of the Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 cast had some difficult crew members, there were several who brought a fascinating amount of drama to the series, and viewers are interested in seeing for another season. With Below Deck Mediterranean season 10 just around the corner, many have been considering which yachties should return to the show.
8Chef Johnathan Shillingford
Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9
- Throughout Below Deck Mediterranean’s history, there have been several crew members who viewers have grown to love throughout the season. Chef Johnathan Shillingford started off the season as someone that viewers felt was certainly either a producer plant, or was simply bad at his job. While Chef Jono was a fun part of the cast, he had an incredibly difficult time moving through the charter season with any sense of success, especially in the early charters.
While Jono struggled to follow the preference sheets he got prior to each charter, it was obvious that some of his difficulty in working through the season came from outside sources. Once he was reprimanded by Captain Sandy for nearly serving a guest a lethal meal due to their allergies, Chef Jono knew he had to double down on doing quality work. He got better toward the end of the charter season, and should be considered for Below Deck Mediterranean season 10.
Joe Bradley
Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9
- Although the exterior team had some serious problems throughout Below Deck Med season 9, the team itself was interesting to watch throughout each charter. Joe Bradley, who was chosen to be the lead deckhand aboard Mustique quickly after the first short charter of the season because of his qualifications, wasn’t someone viewers expected to have issues with, but quickly revealed his genuine character. Though Below Deck Mediterranean season 9’s Joe became the center of some serious drama.
Joe was involved in the major love triangle of the season, moving between flirting with the stews of the season and creating some serious issues. While it was clear that Joe was originally interested stew Elena Dubaich, his connection with Bri Muller was also strong early on in the season. Bri and Joe’s hookups throughout the season struck a chord with Ellie, and his eventual flirtation with stew Carrie O’Neill was equally difficult for the stews to deal with. His ability to bring the drama would help set the tone for Below Deck Med season 10.
Nathan Gallagher
Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9
Another member of the Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 crew from the deck team, Nathan Gallagher would be a great fit to return for the next season of the series. Nathan, who Captain Sandy shared that she would have made the lead deckhand over Joe, was one of the bright spots of Below Deck Med in its last season. While the majority of his time aboard the superyacht was spent with the rest of the deck team, Nathan was able to bring some levity to the crew as well as some drama.
Throughout the season, Nathan’s feelings for his fellow Below Deck Med crew mate Gael Cameron were growing stronger with each passing day. Despite knowing that he was working through some issues with the deck team’s Bosun, Iain MacLean, and navigating through Joe’s drama with him, Nathan’s relationship with Gael was something he was taking seriously. The pair started dating during the season, and though their relationship has had some ups and downs, they’ve stayed together.
5Gael Cameron
Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9
- As the other half of the big boatmance of the season, Gael’s time on Below Deck Mediterranean wasn’t just about her bond with Nathan. While her boatmance was sweet, there was some major relationship drama she had to work through prior to her relationship with Nathan. Gael came into Below Deck Mediterranean in a relationship from another charter she worked on, but things fizzled out with her boyfriend quickly. While she didn’t want to jump into another relationship right away, her connection with Nathan was strong.
Gael’s relationship drama was hardly the only thing about her, though, as she was one of the best female deckhands Below Deck Med has ever seen. Quick to learn and capable, Gael had the ability to work through challenges easily and learned a lot during her time on the show. Coming back to Below Deck Mediterranean could be great for Gael as she could learn a lot more and advance in her career further, perhaps becoming another female Bosun like Malia White.
-
Ellie Dubaich
Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9
- Although Ellie was one of the more dramatic crew members aboard Mustique during Below Deck Med season 9, she was also one of the more entertaining. Throughout her time aboard Mustique, Ellie became part of the show’s big love triangle with Joe and Bri, but her issues with Bri didn’t just boil to the surface because of their mutual love interest. Instead, Ellie and Bri had a full-blown feud surrounding their responsibilities that made it clear one of their jobs could be in jeopardy.
-
When Ellie realized what was going on between Bri and Joe, she tried to make it clear that she wouldn’t allow it to impact her job performance, but her words and her actions didn’t match at all. Throughout the season, Ellie became more and more of a villain with each charter, taking out her irritation on Bri and eventually going toe-to-toe with Aesha Scott about the way she was being treated. Ellie may not be the best to return for crew morale, but the drama she brought to the season was unmatched.
3Bri Muller
Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9
- Although her feud with Ellie wasn’t great for the rest of the crew, Bri’s time aboard Mustique wasn’t just about her issues with her superior or the show’s love triangle. Bri was one of the newer crew members aboard the superyacht, and though it wasn’t her first charter season, she was one of the newest yachties in the industry aboard Mustique. Her lack of experience was a major part of her story on Below Deck Mediterreanean season 9.
- Bri’s time on Mustique almost came to an end several times, as she continually faced issues in getting her tasks finished and keeping herself organized. While Captain Sandy was hesitant to keep her aboard more than once, the Captain’s affinity for trying to help her crew members rather than firing them without trying to let them improve allowed Bri to stick around longer. Seeing how much Bri’s improved would be a great reason to bring her back for Below Deck Med season 10.
2Aesha Scott
Below Deck Mediterranean Season 4, 5, & 9
-
As a long-time yachtie in the Below Deck franchise, Aesha has been part of multiple shows, but originated on Below Deck Med. After working as a stew on earlier seasons of Below Deck Mediterranean, Aesha moved forward in her career, popping up again on Below Deck Down Under season 1 and 2 as the Chief Stew for Captain Jason Chambers’ crew. Throughout Aesha’s time on Below Deck Down Under, she honed her craft and established herself as a great leader.
Returning as the Chief Stew for Below Deck Mediterranean season 9, Aesha got the chance to work with one of the longer-running Below Deck shows and reunited with Captain Sandy. While her time on the show was somewhat more difficult than other charters she’s been on because of the circumstances that surrounded her team, she did a great job leading her crew. Aesha is a shoo-in for Below Deck Mediterranean season 10’s crew.

Max Salvador
Below Deck Mediterranean Season 8
-
As a deckhand on Below Deck Mediterranean season 8, Max Salvador has become a Below Deck fan favorite during his time on the series and in its aftermath. While his time aboard Mustique was difficult at times, Max was known for being one of the more laid-back crew members in the show’s history. Throughout his time on the series, Max had some tension with his fellow crew members for his lack of urgency and the difficulty that caused the rest of the team. Even so, Max was one of the more charming, fun yachties on the crew.
While Max may not be the most knowledgeable deckhand on Below Deck Mediterranean season 10’s crew, it’s clear that he would be a fun addition to the cast. Max could bring some serious drama in his interactions with the interior team, and could potentially have drama with Joe or Nathan. Though he’s not confirmed for Below Deck Mediterranean season 10, Max would be a fun addition.
